What's required of us to become a powerhouse of nutritional excellence? A little bit of everything, really. The saying, "variety is the spice of life," comes to mind when we put a plate together for each meal. The more types of nutrients we eat, the more benefits our bodies will collect and use.

Most people get all of the necessary macronutrients (protein, fat, & carbs) into their diet, but not quite in the proportions or using the sources that will get and keep them in the best health.
